The Recent Rain and Snails...

Good morning, Pumpkinistas!

The rains that we've experienced the last couple of days has brought out many snails. Therefore, if you have already transplanted your seedlings, you may want to consider purchasing some snail killer to create a snail ring of death around your plant(s)!

I've noticed some very persistent snails that tried to eat some cucumber seedlings I have were successfully repelled by Corry's Slug & Snail Killer. Michelle and I do small victory dance whenever we see their empty shells!

The good news is that if you haven't yet begun your patch preparation yet, the rains have softened the soil quite a bit. So, let the ground dry out a couple of days and then start your preparation.
The full moon for May doesn't occur until May 24th, so you have plenty of time to get ready and to germinate your seeds in advance.

Good luck!
