At The Greenery Nursery and Garden Shop!

Good evening, Pumpkinistas!

This morning's workshop was remarkably well-received as fifteen new growers braved the rain and cool temperatures in order to attend the first workshop held at The Greenery Nursery and Garden Shop in Turlock, CA. The Greenery is a jewel box of a nursery with a broad selection of plants and gifts beautifully displayed as you can see above, all contained on about an acre lot. The attendees were very motivated to take advantage of the very moist ground from last night's rains, and seemed non-plussed when I let them know that it would take a 48" deep hole to grow a giant pumpkin since the soil in this area is sandy loam and easy to work.

I am very anxious to see the results of having some of the best soil on the planet, plenty of space, and lots of sunshine of the Greenery's workshop attendees!
