Watering System Installed and Ready!

Good morning, Pumpkinistas!

The watering system is installed and ready for action. The soaker hose will be covered in a 2"-3" layer of mulch in a few days. Since the seedlings are still small, the timer has been programmed for 15 minutes of watering per day, at 5:30 a.m.. The time will be increased to 30 minutes of watering in a 2-3 weeks or if there's a heat wave before then.

As the season progresses, the soaker hose will be uncoiled to water a greater area, as the vine growth expands.

This system is simple, inexpensive, and effective.
