Lockeford: Opening Move

Good afternoon, Pumpkinistas!

Have you been wondering how the Kellogg Garden Products intra-company giant pumpkin contest between their Lockeford, California and Ontario, California facilities has been doing? Todd Slinde of Kellogg Garden Products sent me these images of the Lockeford's patch preparation. (It must be nice to have a bulldozer and access to an unlimited amount of organic material.) The hole looks very impressive.

The Lockeford team has also sent word that their seedling is in the ground and that as victors, they will bake a big giant pie for the Ontario team.

Ontario has been strangely quiet.
