Good afternoon, Pumpkinistas!
It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to Mr. Howard Moore, of the previous post regarding which way the primary vine will grow. Mr. Moore has embraced the giant pumpkin grower's spirit, philosophy, and credo of "If it's worth doing, then it's worth overdoing."
That is one serious hole (50" deep x 36" wide!). Plus, a very nice germination/seedling!
